How to know if you have an arrest warrant in Brazil

Do you know if there is an arrest warrant issued in your name in Brazil?

I saw this tip posted on social media and as I found it very interesting, I decided to post it here for you too.

This is an online consultation on the portal of the National Bank of Arrest Warrants (BNMP) on the website of the National Council of Justice (CNJ).

For those who are curious, or even feel persecuted, or have any questions about this subject, I suggest you consult your full name in this database.

To do this, simply access the BNMP website  whose link is available at the end of this post, fill in the “Person’s name/other names” field, and click the “SEARCH” button.

See a print screen of the website accessed by cell phone below:

If everything goes well, you will receive the following message:

No pending arrest or hospitalization warrants were found for: NAME: “YOUR NAME”. Search carried out on DATE at TIME.

If your name is very common, and a lot of results appear, just fill in more data, such as:

But why would I want to know that?

If you don’t want to know, ok. Simply ignore this information and don’t do the search, but if you want, the link for consultation is: https://portalbnmp.cnj.jus.br/#/pesquisa-peca

Prevention is better than cure, right?

Have you already done this consultation? How was the result? Leave your answer in the comments form below.
